Today is my mother's birthday. She lived to the age of 96 and was a wonderful woman. To celebrate her birthday, my sister Karen and I drove to Ogden City Cemetery in Ogden, UT, and visited her and our father's grave. It is a beautiful site. We also looked at other graves of our progenitors and reminisced about what we know about their lives.
We have a family tradition of getting an ice cream cone at Farr Ice Cream in downtown Ogden whenever we visit the cemetery, so we couldn't break that tradition!
